Experience horse riding from its most beautiful side – at the most wondrous of times!
For the 48th time, an extraordinary sporting and social event will take place in the Main metropolis shortly before Christmas: The International Frankfurt Festhalle Riding Tournament. One of the largest and most traditional riding tournaments in Germany will once again delight both the equestrian scene and young and old horse fans alike. An ambitious and entertaining 4-day-programme awaits in a festive, pre-Christmas setting.
Another step towards the future
Since Josef Neckermann founded the tournament in 1955, the Linsenhoff family has always been involved in the tournament – initially via the Frankfurt tournament stable Schwarz-Gelb e.V. with its founding members Adolf Schindling, Fritz Linsenhoff and Liselott Linsenhoff.
After a break of 17 years and several different tournament hosts, the Linsenhoff family has now been actively involved in the organization since 2003. Together with Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff, Paul Schockemöhle supported this legendary equestrian event from 2012 to 2018.
In 2019, the family has taken over the sole direction of the tournament for the first time. Their goal is to secure and further develop the International Frankfurt Festhalle Riding Tournament as an annual equestrian meeting place in Frankfurt’s “Gudd Stubb”. Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff, Klaus-Martin Rath and Matthias Alexander Rath form the family-based leadership trio – with a committed and competent team supporting their cause.
Experience the two- and four-legged stars of the world elite of show jumping and dressage from 20 nations in four show jumping world rankings (CSI3*) and in the Grand Prix of Dressage (CDI5*).
Final of the NÜRNBERGER BURG-POKAL:
The NÜRNBERGER BURG-POKAL is regarded as the most important tournament series in the promotion of young, talented seven- to nine-year-old dressage horses at St.-Georg-Special level. The grand finale of this prize is held year after year as part of the International Frankfurt Festhalle Riding Tournament.
Final of the LOUISDOR Prize
The final of the Louisdor Prize honors the best eight- to ten-year-old horses in the Dressage Grand Prix. The Louisdor Prize prepares the young horses – who could become potential candidates for the next international championships – for the most difficult class in dressage.
Hesse day & show
On Thursday, the best Hessian riders will demonstrate their skills in the disciplines of jumping and dressage. A show competition of the Hessian riding clubs will be the crowning event of the first day of the tournament.
The exhibition area, which covers 8,000 m2, offers around 100 shopping stands for you to browse through: Treat yourself to new clothing, artwork, gifts and accessories or indulge in a wide range of equestrian supplies.
